Stainless steel, a metal that resists corrosion
This is our very first sliding door hardware in 304 L stainless steel!
76″ tracks, hangers, wall mounting brackets, stoppers, … everything you need to install a sliding door with an all STAINLESS STEEL hardware. The hardware can support several doors, each weighing up to 440 lbs. With its connector sleeves, several tracks can be aligned end-to-end. There are no limits on length, so bearing remains smooth and silent.
2 tracks are available: one for door up to 130 lbs and another one for door up to 440 lbs.
3 sets of hangers are available: one for door up to 130 lbs, one for door up to 220 lbs and another one for door up to 440 lbs.
Why use 304 L stainless steel sliding hardware?
With its low carbon content, 304 L stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, while retaining its strength and reliability. Widely used in the food sector, 304 L stainless steel is ideal for both interior and exterior installations. It is highly resistant to corrosion. However, it is not recommended for use in saline environments (seaside) or chlorinated environments (swimming pools).
With the right tools, stainless steel tracks can be cut, ground, drilled, welded and painted.
How do you recognize corrosion-resistant stainless steel?
To determine whether stainless steel is corrosion-resistant or not, you’ll need a magnet. Place it on the stainless steel: if it magnetizes, it’s not austenitic stainless steel, which means that rust can set in over the long term.
With our SLID’UP 2000 stainless steel range, the magnet doesn’t!
